Senior Product Manager
As one of Presto's senior product managers, you will be responsible for defining, developing, launching and managing our next world-changing services and/or products. You need to be an extremely capable product enthusiast who can work independently and collaborate with a team of successful entrepreneurs. We place a high value on deeply understanding user problems and testing our proposed solutions so you should be prepared to discuss how you have managed this in your career.
Presto was founded in 2004 and we launched our first product and service in Nov. 2006. The Presto team is made up of successful entrepreneurs from Intuit, Monster Cable, Palm, TiVo, WebTV/Microsoft and Yahoo. We currently sell through retail giants such as Amazon, Best Buy, and WalMart plus our own online store. We drive demand through an integrated marketing effort using PR, TV, radio, print and online communication vehicles. Presto is privately held and backed by KPCB, Vanguard and Clearstone venture partners. We are located a few blocks south of Castro Street, on El Camino Real in Mountain View, CA. We have nice digs, but more importantly, we have a strong team culture that values excellence and fun.
Responsibilities
- Develop product plans that solve real customer problems.
- Define customer experiences and prioritize requirements for the development teams
- Conduct primary and secondary research
- Define feature sets and negotiate tradeoffs
- Drive scheduling and budget decisions
- Evangelize existing products and new ideas
Requirements
- 5+ years Product Management experience with consumer products that ideally incorporated hardware and Internet services/software.
- A combination of technical and business skills—equally comfortable working with developers on how to implement a feature, as with financial planners on the business case for a new feature, product or service.
- A self-motivated, proven problem solver with a strong drive for results.
- A team player with high energy, a passion for the customer, and enthusiasm for fast-paced, startup life.
- Excellent communicator with an open and direct communication style.
- A strong academic or professional background, MBA a plus.

As one of Presto's acquisition marketing managers, you will be responsible for the end to end program management of key customer acquisition programs. You will drive planning, managing, executing and analyzing various marketing programs designed to create awareness, educate prospects and ultimately convert them into Presto customers. You need to be a results-oriented individual comfortable working independently and in a fast paced environment that requires working with cross functional teams. We place a high value on individuals who can act quickly and effectively in fluid environments without losing sight of the larger strategic objectives.

Responsibilities
- Manage offline and online marketing acquisition programs
- Work with call center, offline and online marketing reports
- Work cross functionally to ensure programs launch on time and have tracking in place
- Participate in call center related promotions and programs
- Analyze marketing program effectiveness against key success criteria including CPA & CPL
- Assist in planning out marketing campaigns on a quarterly basis
Requirements
- 2-3 years marketing management
- Experience working with vendors and agencies
- Good analytical skills for measuring program effectiveness
- Program management experience
- Capable of working with limited supervision
- Demonstrated ability to drive for results
- A strong academic or professional background

The Senior Email Engineer will report to the Director of Software Engineering and will be responsible for development of significant portions of our core software. We are looking for an extremely capable technologist who can work independently and collaborate with a team of senior engineers.

Responsibilities
- The Senior Email Engineer will be responsible for design, development and testing of significant portions of our core products, including the incoming and outgoing email systems, attachment processing, and page rendering.
- Work closely with other members of engineering and product management regarding product integration, and development of custom features.
- As a key member of the Presto team, play a role in the evolution of the company's products, values and culture.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of software engineering experience including experience with consumer internet services.
- Extensive experience with mail protocols and standards – expertise in SMTP is a must.
- Extensive experience with C, C++, Java or C#; product development experience with C++, Java, or C# is a must.
- Strong debugging and problem solving skills.
- Experience with the development of a mail transfer agent (MTA) is a plus.
- Experience with fast-growing, entrepreneurial consumer technology startups.
- A strong, creative problem solver, self-motivated, and tenacious when tackling tough technical issues.
- A high-integrity team player with tremendous amounts of energy and enthusiasm, and a high tolerance for the change and ambiguity that is inherent in a fast-paced, revenue-stage startup.
- Excellent communicator.
- A strong academic or professional background.
